Fountain of Youth?
Today, in Japan's Daily Yomiuri a record number of living centarians has been accounted for in the year 2004.
"The number of people aged 100 and older is forecast to be 23,038 by the end of the month, up 2,477 people, or 12 percent, from the previous year, the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry said Tuesday.
The figure, including those turning 100 by the end of the month, is the highest ever. It has more than doubled in the past five years, the ministry said in its annual report ahead of the Respect-for-the-Aged Day on Monday.
Of the group, 84.7 percent, or 19,515 people, are women, while 3,523 are men"
WOW! Apparently, the ladies got something going on that the fellas need to pay heed to . . .!
Must be the natto beans, sushi, and sake.

1 Comments:
damn . . . the craziest part about it is that these centarians are ridin' around on bikes after swilling sake all afternoon.
Ganbatte!
